Editorial Policy
How AdultRankly decides what belongs in the directory, how listings are verified, and how mistakes get fixed.
Scope
AdultRankly is an independent directory of adult websites for adults. It organizes destinations by category, summarizes what each service offers, and links out. It does not host, produce, or distribute adult content.
How sites are selected
A listing starts with a real, operating destination that serves adults and has a clear identity: an official domain, a coherent product, and an audience a category can describe.
Keyword demand alone never creates a listing. If two records describe the same site, they are merged into one entry; if a record cannot be tied to a working destination, it is dropped.
How listings are checked
Before a review is published, the destination's official URL is confirmed to resolve, the access model (free, freemium, or paid) is checked against what the site itself presents, and the category fit is reviewed against the actual product rather than the brand name.
Screenshots and favicons are captured locally where possible and used only to identify a listing in an editorial context.
Handling errors
Visitors can report wrong categories, dead links, changed access models, or inaccurate descriptions through the Contact page. Reports are reviewed against the live site and corrections ship in the next data update. Listings that stop resolving are re-checked over time before removal - a temporary outage is not treated as closure.
Review updates
Each review page carries its own last-reviewed date. A date changes only when someone re-verifies the destination's URL, access model, and presentation - never automatically on every rebuild. Category pages show the most recent verification month across their listings.
Automation and AI assistance
Drafting assistance, including AI tooling, may help summarize or structure information about a destination. Every published review is based on the destination's publicly available presentation, and factual claims are kept to what the destination itself shows or discloses. Claims that cannot be supported - traffic numbers, safety guarantees, update frequency without evidence - are left out rather than invented.
Quality control
The catalog is validated automatically on every build: duplicate domains, duplicate brands, broken internal routes, missing metadata, thin excerpts, template artifacts, and category references that no longer exist all fail the build.
Rankings are editorial. No site pays for placement or review, and commercial relationships, where they exist, never override category fit.
