Methodology
How We Rank Sites
AdultRankly orders listings per category rather than issuing one global score. These are the factors behind that ordering.
Core factors
- Content and catalog
- Whether the destination actually delivers what its category promises, and how much of it there is: library depth for studios, performer coverage for cams, tool depth for AI generators.
- Usability
- Browsing structure, search and filtering quality, and whether a first-time visitor can find relevant material without fighting the interface.
- Mobile experience
- Behavior on a phone browser: layout integrity, playback, and whether core features work without an app.
- Advertising load
- Pop-ups, redirects, fake play buttons, and ad density relative to content. Heavier interference pushes a listing down.
- Access model clarity
- What is free, what is paid, and whether the site states this plainly. Hidden paywalls and bait-and-switch pricing are penalized.
- Privacy and account burden
- How much personal information browsing or membership demands, and whether an account is required just to look.
- Freshness
- Evidence the service is maintained: recent updates, working links, current pricing pages. Each review records when it was last verified.
Weights differ by category type
A cam platform and a tube archive are not judged identically. Where a category type has its own emphasis, it is stated here.
Premium memberships
- Weighting tilts toward library size and exclusivity, update cadence, streaming or download quality, and total cost against renewal terms.
- Free-trial claims are only noted when the destination itself presents them clearly.
Live cam platforms
- Performer discovery and room count lead, followed by free-chat usability, token pricing transparency, private-show options, stream stability, and mobile chat.
- Registration walls before any preview count against access clarity.
AI sites
- Generation quality and feature depth (styles, tags, editing) come first, then speed, free-tier limits versus credit pricing, privacy posture on prompts, and output ownership statements where published.
Tube and aggregator sites
- Catalog breadth and tag precision matter most, then search and filter quality, ad interference during playback, resolution options, and whether browsing works without an account.
Hentai, manga, and comics
- Library organization by series, artist, or tag leads; then translation or localization state, reading experience on mobile, update frequency, and ad load between pages.
What we do not do
No numeric scores are displayed because no repeatable scoring audit backs them yet. When rating data exists, it will appear alongside the evidence for it. No site pays for placement; affiliate relationships are disclosed separately in the affiliate disclosure.
Keeping rankings honest
Category ordering reflects editorial judgment about the factors above as of each listing's verification date. When a destination changes materially - price, access model, catalog direction - its entry moves only after re-checking. See the editorial policy for selection and correction rules.
