Erika Lust

An anonymous confession submitted online can end up as a fully scripted, cinematically shot short film: that mechanic drives XConfessions, the crowd-sourced project in which Erika Lust and guest directors adapt selected submissions into erotica.

What Erika Lust offers

Running since 2013 out of the Barcelona-based production company she founded after her 2004 debut The Good Girl, the project belongs to the feminist and ethical porn movement her career is tied to.

Erikalust.com works as that studio's front door rather than an endless clip feed. Watching happens across separate platforms, each with its own login: the XConfessions shorts, Lust Cinema's plot-driven features and series, and Else Cinema, the deliberately softer, romance-leaning line. Subscriptions on XConfessions include unlimited streaming, up to ten downloaded films a month, and subtitles on some titles in English, Spanish, French and German. Lust Zine, the house magazine, wraps around the films with sex-positive articles, release news and behind-the-scenes material.

The natural audience is people who want adult films with narrative, character and visible production care, including women and couples drawn to a female-pleasure perspective. That is also its limit: membership is the point of entry for the films themselves, so the site rewards people happy to settle in for fewer, longer, deliberately made movies rather than scroll quick clips.
